Kinross Cougars At Scotland V Italy

27022009101

The Scotland A team played the Italy A team at Perth's McDiarmid park last night.  The Cougars were asked to supply eight balls boys - and one mascot for the match.

The Under 14 team sent eight S2 boys along and our Minis provided a mascot for the match.

It was a close fought game, resulting in a tight 22-22 final score.

The boys enjoyed themselves enormously and behaved impeccably.  Sean Lamont was heard to say 'good job!' to the ball boys.

A great turn out from parents meant that Kinross had nearly as much support as Scotland throughout the match.

You can find pictures of the match in the MIDIS picture album on the site (on your right).

Thanks to all of the boys and parents who helped make the whole evening so memorable.

Midis - End Of Year Match Tomorrow

Rugby santa To end the first half of the season in style there will be fun rugby match this coming Sunday, mixing all the S1s to S6s into the two sides, followed by a Christmas party in the club house.

Don’t worry about the size of the bigger boys, they will all be handicapped to even things up with the younger lads.

There will be food in the club house, hot dogs, mince pies etc after the game and we’ll start the party with some party games followed by a movie.

There may even be a half season prize giving!

Will all the S1 to S6 boys please meet at the KGV for 1330 ready for a 1400 kick-off on Sunday 21 December 2008.

The match will only be an hour long and we should be in the club house by 1530.

The party should be done and dusted by about 1830 to 1900.

Please bring your full rugby kit with you including your purple school rugby shirts and your washing gear.  Remember you are ALL expected to shower and change into clean clothes before using the club house.  Anyone still covered in mud will not be let in!

Please confirm your attendance to Andy on 01577 861680 or e-mail him at a.b.williams@btopenworld.com.  Make sure you let him know one way or another if you are coming so we know how much food to lay on.

Finally the bar will be open and Mums and Dads are most welcome to come along and enjoy (and join in) the fun as well.

Make sure you tell as many of your chums as possible – LET’S HAVE A PARTY!

TODAY'S TOURNAMENT - CANCELLED!

Image

We're sorry to say, that due to the weather conditions (heavy snow!) we've had to cancel today's tournament.  Our apologies to all of the teams and parents, but we're sure you'd rather we did that than take home a little blue ice cube in a rugby shirt.

However, we have bought loads of food as we thought there would be 700 people coming! We have 1000 fresh morning rolls and losts of things that would go well in packed lunches.

So, from 10.30 this morning I will be at the club and you can come along and buy some of the stuff from us at bargain prices. Also Craig will be cooking burgers at lunchtime and Steve will open the bar, so come for lunch if you can.

Kids could bring their wellies and have a play outside.

Morgan Tournament - Sunday 18th

Firstly I would like to thank the parents and coaches for their effort and support not just today but for the whole season. As Mini Coordinator I have seen the development of the boys and girl this year and all players should be extremely proud of their efforts, as I am!!! Craig

On the playing side the P6/7 side demonstrated again their ability to play as a team and with some great individual performances. The close game with Morgan just went the other way and that was then a 3rd / 4th play off with Brechin. A close game but maybe the minds were now on next Saturdays match against the parents and coaches!

P45_champs The P4/5 side finished the season on a high, the 3rd game against Blairgowrie finishing 2-2 then it was all going to be down to the last games for both Kinross and Blairgowrie. Kinross won 6-1 against Brechin and Blairgowrie won 7-3 against Strathmore so Points of 10, the same goal difference and so it came down to tries scored. Blairgowrie scored 20 tries but Kinross had scored 24! Deserved champions and all should be very proud of their efforts. Lets see as many of you down next Saturday for the Barbeque and Awards. Well Done!
