Cohort Studios in Dundee has just told the world that it's latest game is now on the shelves. Buzz Jnr: Ace Racers is the latest title in the Buzz Jnr series.
Unlike the original Buzz titles, it's not a quiz game. Ace Racers allows up to four players to compete against each other in a multiplayer party-style racing.
The clever part is that the game uses the original Buzz controllers to control the cars, boats, planes and other vehicles in the same way that the original Scalextric controllers worked. Press the button to go fast, let it go to slow down...
This is the second Buzz Jnr title, Cohort has completed. The first, Buzz Jnr: Dino Den was released earlier this year and spent several weeks near the top of the UK PS2 charts, beaten only by the usual branded suspects (High School Musical, Hannah Monana - that kind of thing).
Ace Racers is already picking up some solid review scores, including an 80 from Videogamer, who also said:
Which is encouraging, since the games media is generally not known for it's even-handed approach to kids games.
Cohort's CEO, Lol Scragg, says:
Buzz Jnr: Ace Racers is available at all good retailers. The game's official website can be found here.
