Scotland With Style - SG Streetwear

Hooch Besides shouting at people and appearing at festivals, our summer project is to become far more like the freaks and drama queens from Project Catwalk.  We've already bought huge bug-like sunglasses and have made enquiries about buying a tiny dog to clutch.  This would allow us to collapse at public events in hysterical tears, throw (more) tantrums (than usual) and generally behave like a big drink of water.

However the actual fashion creation part of the deal has eluded us to date, thanks in no small part to our collective lack of talent.

Thankfully, on the Internet, this is no barrier to the creation of genuinely exciting new glamour.

Ladies and gentlemen, we proudly present, the new Scottishgames.biz summer collection.

It's a work in progress, but fingers crossed, it will combine the worlds of gaming and being Scottish in a unique haute-couture sort of pret-a-porter kind of way.

Your thoughts, comments and feedback are not only welcome, but invited.

Of course, we're avoiding any hint of copyright infringement, while still drawing inspiration from the gamers, gurus, figureheads and titles which have made Scotland famous.

However if you think anything on here misrepresents your game/s or someone you love, do tell, we will more than likely remove it.

No, seriously, you need one or more of these.  There's a crisp fiver for the first person to order one.

UPDATE: Colin Anderson wins the fiver.

The Most Well Known Face In Gaming

Look at this man...
Realfrohman_2

Does he seem familiar?

No?

He should.  Instead of the nice but dull CFO of a publisher, the outspoken level designer who plays by his own rules, or even the criminally overworked editor of a new games mag, this man is a real-life videogames character.

Think Half Life 2...

According to Chris Livingston, the insanely talented creator of the now sadly complete Concerned webcomic, the guy at the top was the person used to model one of the characters used throughout Half Life 2.

Specifically this one...

Gordon Frohman
himself.

The Concerned site also points towards the real life doppelganger of the game's infamous Dr Breen.

WoW V Baby

Drgarryblog America.  Daytime TV.

Sean plays World Of Warcraft instead of paying attention to girlfriend Autumn and their new baby.

Autumn takes it to Tyra Banks and Dr Garry.

Tyra and Dr Garry criticise Sean's gaming habits.

(Sean is a blinking lizard)

Dr Garry explains 'addiction'.

Tyra, Autumn and Dr Garry help Sean to shred the CDs.

Women in audience cheer and whoop.

Sean gets hugs from Dr Garry and Autumn and a high five from Tyra.

Warning - Serious Timesoak

Half Life 2 is not just a game, it's a way of life.  For everyone out there who has finished Episode 1 and needs another fix from the Combine controlled hell of City 17, we highly recommend Concerned.

It's an online graphic novel.  A comic if you must be picky.  Set in the Half Life 2 world and created entirely using the game engine.  Think of it as a Machinima, but watched on an early Blu-ray player.

It details the 'half life and death of Gordon Frohman'.  NoFrohman

It's gorgeous, constantly funny and something every Half Life player should read.

It combines games and comics.  If only it had more characters from Dead Or Alive III (NRSFW), it would be perfect.
