IGN has previewed the 'mystery game' mentioned earlier this week. It turns out it's a title called 'Flock', one of the first titles to emerge from Dundee's Proper Games.
The player takes charge of a giant hovering UFO and the goal is to herd a group of animals (a flock of sheep, herd of cows, flange of baboons, tiding of magpies, etc. Apart from the last two) negotiating them through obstacles and landscape features.
As IGN points out, this is a little like Lemmings from a different perspective, but the video on the IGN site shows a game that radiates charm and a healthy Scottish fascination with our wooly cousins...
Flock is due out across multiple platforms including XBLA, PSN and PC. IGN speculates that downloadable content including new animals, levels etc. MAY be made available, extending the normal lifespan of online games.
We'll be bothering the Proper chaps as soon as they're back from next week's E3 and getting the low down on this rather lovely looking new title...
