Denki and Dynamo have both received nominations in this year's TIGA Awards. The developer association has announced the finalists for the developer awards. The ceremony take place next week and includes a couple of new categories - Best Technology and Best Cross-Media Application of Games.
Mobile powerhouse Dynamo is up for another award (their first this year though...) The company's screamingly popular Championship Manager has been nominated in the Best Mobile category, alongside Tomb Raider Anniversary from Finblade (formerly InfoSpace, formerly IOMO).
Interactive TV and casual developer Denki has also been nominated in the Best Developer category, alongside TIGA stalwarts Blitz Games (SpongeBob, American Idol, Bratz...) and Sumo Digital (Sega Superstars Tennis, Driver '76, Broken Sword 4...)
No sign of Realtime Worlds, 4J, Rockstar North or any of the other Scottish studios in there, which is odd, though if the awards are only open to members, then that might explain their absence.
The best part is that YOU can vote. Probably. You can request a vote submission form from TIGA and vote for your favourites.
We can make Scotland actually sink a little under the sheer weight of awards over the next twelve months - but we have to act together. So contact TIGA, ask for a voting form and do the right thing.
